Reiki · Separate but connected

Reiki Integrative Informed Psychotherapy

“Everything we do is energy.” In Kellie’s practice, EMDR is the active work of moving stuck energy out of the body. Reiki complements that work as a receptive counterpose: a quiet, attuned space to soften, settle, and release.

Reiki is a complementary energy practice, not a licensed mental-health service, diagnosis, or treatment, and not a substitute for therapy.

How Reiki pairs with EMDR

EMDR is active; Reiki is receptive, like a counterpose in yoga.

Active

EMDR

Licensed therapy. EMDR is the active work of moving stuck energy out of the body.

About EMDR therapy

Receptive

Reiki

A complementary energy practice. Reiki releases energy too, in a quiet, receptive way.

Kellie’s path to it

It came through her own healing

I’ve done it with my own healing, EMDR and Reiki, seen the effects this had on me. I just want to share that with clients.

Kellie is a Reiki Practitioner II. She offers Reiki as its own, clearly separate practice, separate but somehow connected to the therapy work she does as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

What a session is like

Start with the heart

“What do you feel? What do you want to feel?”

Kellie’s entry point is the body. A session begins with the heart and with those two questions; the memories follow in their own time.

Sessions may be offered in person on the Reiki table in Sandy Springs, GA, or at a distance by arrangement.

Who this is for

A gentle complement

Reiki can be a calming complement for clients already doing therapeutic work, or for anyone drawn to an integrative, gentle energy practice.

Important distinctions

  • Reiki is a complementary energy practice, not a licensed mental-health service, diagnosis, or treatment, and not a substitute for therapy.
  • Licensed counseling is available only in Georgia (in person/virtual) and Florida (telehealth only). Reiki may be offered in person or at a distance, anywhere.
  • Kellie’s Reiki credential is listed separately as Reiki Practitioner II; it is not a clinical license.
  • No outcomes or clinical claims are made for Reiki.
